Òscar will coach the young performers ahead of the concert, and will also work with student composers


Òscar Colomina i Bosch will be honoured with a Portrait Concert at the renowned Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, presented by the Institut für Neue Musik. This special event, moderated by composer, conductor and educator Simone Fontanelli, will take place on 12th November 2024 at 17:00 in the Bösendorfersaal, and will celebrate Òscar’s chamber music, showcasing his unique voice and contributions to contemporary composition.

The program will feature a selection of Òscar’s chamber works, showcasing a range of his compositions for different ensembles. The concert programme will feature:

  • Conversation with J. Beuys (2005) for flute, viola, and harp, performed by Alexandra Piskorová (flute), Hyeonyeong Jang (viola), and Leto Križanič Žorž (harp).
  • Imatges (2021) for solo piano, performed by Dasom Woo.
  • MicroSuite No2 (2006) for solo cello, performed by Leonardo Petracci.
  • Litanies for solo guitar, performed by Jonatán Jakabovics and Lorik Pylla.
  • Rotting Wood and Damaged Iron (2018) for violin, cello, and piano, performed by Damiano Isola (violin), Martino Tazzari (cello), and Jou-Yu Shieh (piano).
  • Shpigl (2015) for solo violin, performed by Hyeonyeong Jang.

From the 9th November, Òscar will engage with Mozarteum students, working on his compositions in preparation for the concert. He will also meet with individual composers and lead a seminar, offering insights into his creative process and approach to music.
