An exciting season ahead!
Very happy to share with you all some highlights of my 2024-25 season!
19 September:
Things will kick off at the Círculo de Bellas Artes with a performance of my Microsuite during the ‘Noche de las Ideas’ event at the Círculo, where musicians from Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía will perform. Dedicated website HERE.
20 September:
The Orquestra de València will premiere my new symphonic work, ‘The Styx’, at the Palau de la Música de València under the baton of the wonderful Baldur Bronnimann.
There will be a little pre-concert talk prior to the concert. Tickets already available at the Palau’s website, HERE.
2 October:
Members of the Szigeti Quartet and Pianist Marta Gulyàs will lead the Hungarian premiere of my Nocturnes for piano trio at the Franz Listz Academy, Budapest, in a concert which will be broadcast live by Hungarian national radio. Tickets available at the Academy’s website, HERE. I will also give a chamber music masterclass.
12 October:
Pianist Leyla Cemiloglu will perform Imatges in a concert in Mojácar, within the FIMTE International Festival. More details HERE.
12 November:
The Institut für Neue Musik at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg will offer a Portrait Concert dedicated entirely to my chamber music. I will also teach and work with the performers prior to the concert. I am very grateful to Simone Fontanelli for the invitation. More details HERE.
20 December:
Premiere of a New Work at the Serranía Music Fest. Violinist Lucía Veintimilla and cellist Lidy Blijdorp will premiere and subsequently record the new duo.
New Commission:
The Orquesta Nacional de España has commissioned a new orchestral song cycle for their season 2025-26, which will premiere in Autumn, 2025, under the baton of David Afkham, so I’ll be working hard through these coming months to create something special!
